A teak furniture patio is what every homeowner desires. However teak is very expensive when compared to pine, plastic or metal. This is because teak has to be imported all the way from Bali, Indonesia or even India. Although plantations have begun in North America, it will take time before the teak has fully matured. Therefore most people are left with pine, plastic or metal furniture.
Pine furniture has a lower oil content and dries up. It therefore needs to be oiled and stained regularly. Plastic, though lightweight and cheap, tends to crack under pressure. The beauty of a teak furniture patio is that it will last for a generation and need little or no maintenance.

Teak is a rare commodity today and is mostly imported from Indonesia and India. A teak tree takes about 100 years to reach maturity, and therefore it is one of the hardest woods available today. It does not decay and cannot be eaten by termites. Teak has natural oils and is water resistant and resistant to rough weather conditions. Therefore, teak patio furniture is preferred by many.
A teak dining table will always stand out among all your teak patio furniture. Besides dining, you can also use it for working and writing your diary in a green and fresh environment. For relaxing, you can add a teak chaise lounge. Two teak benches with the backrests placed lengthwise on either side of your patio would define your patio’s borders.

It all depends on the décor and teak patio furniture is a great way to get the best of both worlds – formal and informal. Teak patio furniture has an elegance about it that can give the patio an aura of sophistication. But the level formality can be controlled by the use of informal patio furniture styles. Using teak patio furniture can get you the best of both worlds.
