A teak furniture patio is what every homeowner desires. However teak is very expensive when compared to pine, plastic or metal. This is because teak has to be imported all the way from Bali, Indonesia or even India. Although plantations have begun in North America, it will take time before the teak has fully matured. Therefore most people are left with pine, plastic or metal furniture.
Pine furniture has a lower oil content and dries up. It therefore needs to be oiled and stained regularly. Plastic, though lightweight and cheap, tends to crack under pressure. The beauty of a teak furniture patio is that it will last for a generation and need little or no maintenance.
